Sometimes engagement rings can get lost and then found. Sometimes people can too. All it takes is a heavy-duty dose of karma and the magic of Manhattan to make it all come together.

Leah is a financially destitute new age hippy. James is a wealthy surgeon with a trust fund. She’s awkward, he’s poised. She’s completely crazy, he’s way too sane. People might say they have nothing in common, but they’d be wrong. They both live in Manhattan, they both have no idea how to change a baby diaper, and they’re both lost … until they find one another.

About this series: I’d never been to New York City before, but I knew I would love it and wanted to write a story that was set in the most exciting city in the world. So I hopped on a plane with my friend Susan and spent 5 whirlwind days there, soaking up the culture, seeing the sights and nailing down the scenes that would eventually end up in this series. Those of you familiar with New York City know what I’m talking about when I say you just can’t beat Russ and Daughters’ bagels, Central Park, Times Square, Brooklyn, and Yonnah Schimmels’ knishes.

My Review

The enjoyment that this book gave me was beyond what I was expecting. The humor of this book was past funny. I actually laughed at some parts of the book and that isn’t the best part yet. There were more random things that I find funny but it was not meant to be funny. I don’t even know, maybe I was really hyped while I was reading.

The waiting was a bit rough for me thought. I took quiet sometime for the characters to really consider things and get together. But, those unseen twists got me on my feet plus the ending was such a relief that I was actually satisfied when the book ended.

This is not my first book from Elle but honestly, I was contemplating reading this book to its end because I thought it is going to be slightly boring by the looks of the first chapters but, I’m glad I did and I’m seriously hyped with this book. 4 STARS!!

I published my first novel WRECKED on January 1, 2012 and have published on average a book every six weeks since.  I quit my jobs as a lawyer and teacher early in 2013 to focus full time on my writing, and I couldn’t be happier.  I love my work and even more so, my readers!
